One of the unique options you can add to your Men With Knives meal is its unique barbecue/smoker, The Applewood Express. Food is prepared onsite by Pitmaster Gareth Carter and served straight from the ‘cue. The smoker gives your food that little something extra that is created by hours of slow cooking infused by cedar and applewood chips. Barbecue is not just a favourite backyard pastime but has become a gourmet service offered by specialty caterers and restaurants. In their 'Gourmet Barbecue' menu, Men With Knives Catering offers a unique culinary experience through selections such as succulent barbecued ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork and sides of salmon. And to top it off and give your guests the real feel of a southern barbecue with a local twist, Men With Knives prepares a selection of the finest side dishes which may include Cheddar Corn, Simcoe County Slaw, Fingerling Potato Salad, Israeli Couscous, Quinoa, Baked Beans, Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Caesar Salad.
For the 2011-12 ski season, Gareth and his team are back onsite offering delicious food at Craigleith's North Lodge. Other clients include the Collingwood Yacht Club, Mosaic Experiential Marketing, Creemore Springs Brewery, On the Hill Concierge, Mountain Life Magazine, Creemore 100 Mile Market, Collingwood Curling Club, Admiral Collingwood, Cameron Street Public School and the Gecko Bonspiel. During the 2011 summer season, Men With Knives participated in several community events including the Duntroon BarnRaiser, Under the Harvest Moon (Collingwood General and Marine Hospital), the Foundation for Fighting Blindness' Cycle for Sight and SummerFest (Tin Roof Global Action).
